About Stadio San Nicola — Bari's "Spaceship"
Designed by architect Renzo Piano and opened in 1990 for the FIFA World Cup, Stadio San Nicola is nicknamed "The Spaceship" thanks to its distinctive petal-shaped roof floating over the Apulian countryside.
